Privacy Policy

Document version: 2026-05-11

This Privacy Policy describes how ParentLedger handles information in connection with the mobile application and related services. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning in our Terms of Service.

A. Who we are

The “operator” or “we” refers to the entity operating ParentLedger as identified in app store listings and support communications.

B. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the app, we and our subprocessors may process:

  • Account & authentication: phone number, email, or other identifiers provided by you or your sign-in provider (e.g. Apple, Google); authentication tokens.
  • Profile & workspace: name, role (e.g. parent or counsel), firm or household details you choose to enter; identifiers linking you to a “case” or workspace.
  • User-generated content: messages, timeline or log entries, calendar items, expenses, documents, photos, and similar content you upload or create.
  • Device & technical data: device type, OS version, app version, diagnostics, IP address, and logs for security and reliability.
  • Crash & analytics: crash reports and usage analytics via platform or third-party SDKs (e.g. Firebase Crashlytics / Analytics) as configured in your build.
  • Purchases: subscription status and identifiers processed by Apple, Google, and/or RevenueCat (or similar) to entitle features.
  • Push notifications: if enabled, device push tokens to deliver notifications.

C. How we use information

We use information to provide, secure, personalize, and improve the service; authenticate users; process subscriptions; communicate service-related messages; comply with law; and enforce our Terms.

D. Sharing

We share information with service providers who assist us (e.g. cloud hosting, authentication, messaging, analytics, payments, email delivery) subject to contracts or terms that limit their use. We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or security.

Co-parents & counsel: Content you place in a shared workspace may be visible to other participants you or your co-parent invite, according to product permissions.

We do not sell your personal information for money as a business model; if we use advertising SDKs in the future, we will update this Policy and obtain consent where required.

E. Retention

We retain information as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Some copies may persist in backups for a limited period.

F. Security

We use industry-standard measures appropriate to the service. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for protecting your device and credentials.

G. Children

ParentLedger is intended for adults managing co-parenting or professional counsel workflows. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use on their own. If you believe we have collected a child’s personal information inappropriately, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

H. International users & rights

If you reside in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, or other regions with privacy laws, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us to exercise rights; we may verify your request.

I. California (CCPA/CPRA) — notice at collection (summary)

We collect the categories described in Section B for the purposes in Section C. We retain them as described in Section E. You may have rights to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to limit use of sensitive personal information where applicable. We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under the CPRA in connection with cross-context behavioral advertising unless we implement such features later and update this Policy.

J. Account deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data from the in-app settings, or by emailing us at the address below. See our account deletion page for the full process and timing.
